Medical Careers Technology
Preparing for a health career is a smart decision for the future. Males and females will be introduced to a wide variety of medically related careers and learn entry-level skills. Students study anatomy and physiology, medical abbreviations and terminology, first aid, CPR, EMT, and health care core skills. Students may supplement class and lab sessions with work experiences in actual health care facilities. Just some of the possible areas are dental, doctor, or veterinarian offices, physical or occupational therapy, pharmacy, nursing, dietetics, developmental disabilities, central processing EKG, respiratory, and x-ray.
