Early Childhood Education
Students will be prepared for employment as teacher assistants in elementary schools, preschools, day care centers, family day care settings, or special education classrooms. Actual work experience is gained by working with young children at elementary classrooms, special education programs and other child care centers. Students will gain knowledge in child growth and development, health and safety, guidance observation skills, and professionalism. Many opportunities may be available for students to work in the community as well as to participate in professional activities.
